Noah Lebowitz

With nearly thirty years devoted exclusively to employment law, I bring deep subject matter focus and practical credibility to my work as a mediator, arbitrator, and discovery referee at Signature Resolution. My goal is to help parties navigate complex workplace disputes with clarity, realism, and respect, while keeping the process grounded and productive. Before joining Signature Resolution, I spent my career representing employees in high stakes employment matters throughout California. I began my practice during the early implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, developing a strong foundation in statutory interpretation and enforcement. I later practiced at Schneider, McCormac and Wallace and McGuinn, Hillsman and Palefsky, and in 2007 co founded Duckworth Peters Lebowitz Olivier, LLP. In 2018, I launched the Law Office of Noah D. Lebowitz, continuing my work in complex and emotionally charged employment disputes. My approach to mediation emphasizes honest dialogue, careful listening, and direct engagement. I encourage parties to participate meaningfully in the process so that the legal, personal, and professional stakes are fully understood. When negotiations stall, I draw on decades of negotiation experience to test assumptions, identify risk, and help parties find realistic paths forward. In addition to my litigation background, I bring extensive experience as a neutral. I have served as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association Employment and Consumer Panels, as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Francisco Superior Court focusing on discovery disputes, and as a court appointed discovery referee in employment and other civil matters. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor at UC Law San Francisco. I am a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and have been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer since 2009.
