After 20+ years in the legal profession, I’ve learned that the best mediators aren’t the ones who can recite case law or talk at you, they’re the ones who understand what’s really happening in the room and listen to you. I’ve sat in a lot of chairs over the years. As in-house counsel including serving as Interim General Counsel for a global 900-employee organization operating across 45 states, I balanced operational realities with legal risk daily. I know what keeps executives up at night and what solutions actually hold up when you’re managing people, operations, and the bottom line. Representing Fortune 100 companies in high-stakes employment litigation taught me how organizations evaluate risk, make settlement decisions, and what they need to put matters behind them. My prosecutorial experience working with crime victims and vulnerable populations developed my ability to connect with people facing difficult situations building the trust and rapport essential to effective mediation.  People find me to be genuine, transparent, and trustworthy, particularly in high-stakes, emotionally charged disputes. Today, I focus on employment mediation through Torrado Resolutions. I handle the full range of workplace disputes: discrimination and bias claims, harassment and hostile work environment, retaliation and whistleblower matters, wrongful termination, accommodation failures, leave complications, wage and hour matters, performance and discipline conflicts, and multi-party workplace dynamics. Employment disputes are uniquely complex, mixing legal liability with human dynamics, organizational culture with individual dignity. Resolution requires understanding both the law and the people involved. I don’t need to imagine what each side is experiencing.
