About Natalie Hoernschemeyer
With over two decades of experience in education law, I currently serve as the Chair of the Education Law Group at Mickes O’Toole, LLC. I provide comprehensive legal counsel to educational institutions in Missouri, offering strategic guidance on a broad range of issues, including student and personnel matters, constitutional and discrimination concerns, tenure law, board relations, and HR-related challenges such as Title VII, FMLA, and ADA. My expertise also extends to Title IX compliance, where I provide extensive training and serve as a Title IX hearing officer and facilitator at the university level. In addition, I serve as legal counsel to the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), supporting its mission regulating school sports and activities as essential extensions of education and promotion of competitive equity within its 700 member schools. Beyond my advisory and general counsel roles, I am a proactive litigator, defending and advocating for my clients before administrative agencies and in both state and federal courts. My goal is to provide practical, forward-thinking legal support that empowers and safeguards educational institutions throughout Missouri.
