About Naomi Shatz
My practice focuses on students' rights, university discipline, and employment matters. In the last decade I have handled scores of cases at colleges and universities around the country for students involved in student conduct matters, particularly cases involving sexual harassment and assault. I represent students who have experienced harassment or assault or who are accused of harassment or assault both at the initial disciplinary proceeding stage, on appeal, and in litigation against their schools. My familiarity with these adjudicatory procedures, substantial knowledge of Title IX, and understanding of sexual violence issues results in significant victories for the students I represent. In my employment practice I represent employees, including professors and graduate students, facing discrimination and retaliation in the workplace or other unlawful behavior by their employers, and I advise clients in ongoing employment disputes and workplace conflicts. I litigate employment cases in both state and federal court.
