Nancy specializes in assisting employers with all aspects of the employment relationship, including, formulating effective policies and procedures to address issues in the workplace as they arise, counseling on hiring, discipline, termination, and employee conflict issues, and advising them on compliance with applicable legal requirements. Nancy has extensive experience conducting investigations for private employers, government agencies, government contractors, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Nancy has conducted investigations for a wide variety of institutions including Fortune 500 companies, established and start-up companies, high-tech companies, manufacturing companies, healthcare companies, automotive companies, governmental agencies, entertainment companies, service providers, government contractors, non-profit organizations, and educational entities. The investigations conducted by Nancy cover a wide range of employment related issues, including allegations of workplace misconduct, employee relations disputes, discrimination, and harassment (sexual and other forms of hostile work environment claims), retaliation and whistleblower violations, among others. Prior to joining EMC2, Nancy worked for the Orange County office of Fisher & Phillips LLP, one of the oldest and largest firms in the country practicing exclusively labor and employment law. Nancy also spent several years practicing employment law in the Silicon Valley for Cooley LLP, representing early stage and public companies in the high-technology, biotechnology, and retail sectors.
