About Monte Frank

Monte is co-chair of Pullman & Comley’s Litigation practice. He represents business and municipal clients in complex and sophisticated commercial litigation in state and federal courts on a wide range of matters, using his thirty years of experience to help clients resolve problems as effectively and efficiently as possible. He regularly mediates and arbitrates disputes in Connecticut and other states. Monte is recognized for his skills in Commercial Litigation in Chambers USA. He is also a Connecticut Super Lawyer and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Benchmark Litigation. Monte was selected as a American Bar Foundation Fellow, an honorary organization of attorneys, judges and law professors, and as a Connecticut Bar Foundation Fellow. Monte is an active member of the legal community; serving in leadership roles at both the state and national level. Monte is a past president of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) and the New England Bar Association. Monte represented Connecticut in the ABA's House of Delegates for many years. He served on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents, and co-chaired its DEI Committee. He served as co-chair of the CBA's COVID-19 Task Force and worked closely with the Bench. He also served on Connecticut's Judicial Compensation Commission, as the Chief Justice's appointee, and on the Policing Task Force. He also chaired the CBA's Federal Judiciary Committee. In 2018, Monte ran for Lt. Governor on a unique business forward ticket. Since then, Monte has advocated for democracy reform, working to improve our elections and bring accountability to government. He served as Vice Chair of the Governor's Working Group on Ranked Choice Voting and on the ABA's Advisory Commission to the Task Force on Democracy by presidential appointment. He has a leadership role with CT Voters First. Monte brings a wealth of knowledge to gun violence issues. He chairs the ABA’s Committee on Gun Violence after chairing its policy subcommittee. He has successfully presented many resolutions to the House of Delegates, and has worked on amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court. Monte graduated from Cornell University, B.A. magna cum laude (1990). He was selected as a Cornell National Scholar and to the Quill and Dagger Senior Honor Society. He graduated from Cornell Law School (1993). Monte is a competitive cyclist having raced in the Northeast and Canada. He represented the USA at the 2013 and 2017 World Maccabiah Games in Israel and won six medals. He founded and led Team 26 in the Sandy Hook Ride on Washington.
