About Monica Johnson

Monica is the COO and General Counsel of Introsight Advisors, a global strategic marketing firm with offices in Dubai, London and Los Angeles that services high profile global investors, family offices, best-in-class companies, funds and investment firms. In this role she has managed the compliance, diligence, and structuring of numerous deals, and currently oversees the operation of three separate entities in multiple jurisdictions across the globe. Monica has more than fifteen years of experience in operations, fundraising, business development, litigation and transactional law, compliance, and diligence. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Law School Alumni Association of Los Angeles, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent School Alliance and serves on the Board of Advisors of several prominent start-ups in the health and wellness space. In 2012, Monica co-founded and operated BurnThis, a consumer-facing fitness app and marketing platform. The BurnThis app was featured by Apple as the top tracking app in health and wellness and was acquired by Beachbody in December 2015. Monica spent almost a decade of her career working on complex, high-profile litigation matters primarily in the corporate and white-collar space. In 2008, Monica became an Assistant United States Attorney for the Central District of California where she prosecuted white collar crimes, led large trial teams and briefed complex appeals. Monica enjoys inspiring and advising others on how to proactively fund, manage and operate their new businesses and loves the fast-paced environment and particular challenges that present themselves in the start-up space. She holds both a BA and MA from Stanford University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
