I went to law school with the goal to help our society through the use of law and I see every case as a possibility to accomplish that goal. From experience, I know that a “one-size-fits-all” approach to a legal problem is not effective and I am passionate about finding the right solution for each client on an individual basis. I have always been an optimistic, self-starter and I'm not afraid to jump into any legal issue to help a client find the right solution. Since 2017, I have had the role of in-house counsel (amongst various other roles) for a start-up tech company. I wore many hats in my position and absolutely loved the challenges it provided. I was responsible for setting up and maintaining all of our real estate business entities across all markets, negotiating various types of contracts and service agreements on behalf of the company, responding to local board and regulatory proceedings, providing support to our human resource team and also providing legal guidance and assistance to our product development team. I was on call for our real estate brokers and agents in multiple markets and thoroughly enjoyed assisting them with contract drafting and negotiation. Some may think that a contract is simply a black and white document but as soon as you add emotion to the equation, there is plenty of grey between those lines that needs legal expertise, and sometimes a little mediation, to navigate. Outside of serving as counsel for a start-up real estate tech company I absolutely love being a mom and spending time with my children while teaching them to be kind and compassionate individuals. We spend a lot of time fostering both dogs and cats with a local rescue who does their best to rescue as many animals from high kill shelters. It is certainly a rewarding experience for the whole family to touch the lives of so many animals, as well as the humans who adopt them, and give everyone involved in another chance at an amazing life!
