Expertise in complex labor relations matters, with over 20 years of experience, including serving as the former Chair of the American Bar Association's Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution. Passionate about diversity and inclusive excellence, with decades long experience and expertise beginning with earning a specialization in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford and, more recently, certificates from USC's Equity Institute, Race and Equity Center and Berkeley's Executive Leadership Academy on Leading in a Multicultural and Global Environment. Prior to moving into academia, Michelle spent her career in law, representing a number of Fortune 500 companies. Well versed in mediation, negotiation, conflict management and alternative dispute resolution. Michelle has served as an Ombudsperson and is a member of the California Bar.
