Michele Brown

A Partner and the head of the Family Law Group, Ms. Brown has been a Certified Family Law Specialist since 2002 and practices exclusively in the area of family law, where she prepares pre-marital agreements, handles dissolution of marriage, custody, move-away, support and post judgment matters. She has an AV Rating from Martindale Hubbell and an AVVO 10-rating of Superb. She has been selected as a Best Lawyer in America, Southern California Super Lawyer, Best Lawyers in San Diego, San Diego Magazine Best Lawyer, L.A. Daily Journal Best Lawyer, San Diego Metro Top Attorney, San Diego Daily Transcript Top Attorney, Our City San Diego Top Attorney, and has received the State Bar of California, Family Law Executive Committee award for being a Legend in Legislation, among other accolades. She was also featured in Modern Luxury magazine. Ms. Brown obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law and received her license in 1994. She obtained a B.A. in Political Science, with a Minor in Spanish, from the University of California, Riverside, and as a Rotary International Scholar, she studied Politics and French at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. She is on the Board of Representatives for the CA Lawyers Association (CLA) as the family law representative; she is Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee for CLA and Advisor for the Family Law Section. Ms Brown has drafted the language for numerous family law bills that have been enacted into law and has testified before the California State legislature on family law bills that have had a significant impact on the practice of law. Ms. Brown is a past President Of AFCC-CA Chapter (Association of Family and Conciliation Courts). She is the Immediate past President of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists. She is a consistent speaker at statewide seminars on family law, has written numerous articles on family law and a guest speaker on National Public Radio and ESPN Real Talk San Diego.
