Michael Rothman

For over two decades, I have been representing clients in complex commercial and criminal litigation matters as the founder and principal of the Law Office of Mike Rothman. My areas of practice and concentration include criminal defense, white collar crime, DUI/DWI defense, traffic matters, internet crime and fraud, computer fraud, and governance and compliance matters for corporations and groups. I am a trial attorney with a proven track record of success in both federal and state courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia, where I am licensed to practice law. I have been consistently recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine as among the top 5% of criminal defense lawyers in both jurisdictions since 2011. In addition to my extensive criminal defense experience, I have a special interest and expertise in cannabis law, which I have been developing for over 10 years. I am the founder and principal of Medical Cannabis Law Group, a division of my firm that assists stakeholders in the emerging cannabis industry with legal and regulatory issues. I help patients, doctors, providers, and caregivers navigate the transition to the new regulated medical cannabis marketplace, protecting their rights, interests, and goals. I am also an associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and have completed a course in DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing by the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
