Michael Jensen

I started my career in a 3rd party contract call center services business. I later started a small dial-up ISP serving my local community. Later was hired by a Graphic Software publisher/developer company in Los Angeles that later sold to Corel Software. Most recently I was part of the startup team for a software services & fulfillment company in Portland that sold to Digital River. At Digital River I was responsible for Operations & General Management the entire team. I’ve managed business units with multiple locations, time zones, cultures and languages. In addition to my professional work, I enjoy volunteer work. I’ve previously been active in my local community. Previous volunteer work: Past Co-Chair, Neighbors Task Force and member Citizen's Advisory Committee for the Housing Authority of Portland's (now Home Forward) $150 million Federal HUD Hope VI New Columbia redevelopment project, past member of the Interstate Corridor Urban Renewal Area Council (ICURAC), past member ICURAC District Parks Citizen's Advisory Sub-Committee, City of Portland Parks, Dog Off-Leash Advisory Committee, has served on other Parks Citizens Advisory Committees. Past Board Chair the Community Association of Portsmouth (TCAP/PNA). Past member ITT Technical Institute Advisory Committee, United Methodist Oregon Idaho District Leadership Team. Past volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society, Member of Amnesty International and the ACLU. North Portland Community Works (NPCW), United Methodist Oregon-Idaho District Lay Leadership Team. I attend church at the Portsmouth Union Church (formerly University Park United Methodist Church.) Hobbies & Interests: I love boating (sailing and power boating), RV’ing, Dogs & Cats, affordable housing, living in a small footprint, minimalist, Overlanding, Off-road exploring.
