About Michael Brenton
Prior to joining Conklin Benham, Mike Brenton was President and founding shareholder of Brenton Law Group P.C. He has a long and successful history defending workers’ compensation claims throughout Michigan, representing insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured employers, and self-insured funds. He has also represented the State of Michigan and State Funds as a Special Assistant Attorney General since 1994. Mr. Brenton completed his bachelor’s degree with high honors from Michigan State University and went on to earn his J.D from the University of Notre Dame Law School. Mr. Brenton is a member and past chairperson of the State Bar of Michigan, Workers’ Compensation section. He is a certified Civil Mediator, completing ICLE Advanced Negotiation and Dispute Resolution training, and has served as an adjunct member of the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board. He is an active member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, where he currently serves as a committee member on the Health and Human Resources Committee. Mr. Brenton previously served as the Michigan workers’ compensation liaison for the Defense Research Institute.
