About Megan Atkinson
I am a high-performing Senior Counsel responsible for providing advice and counsel regarding a variety of employment law matters. I focus my practice on public safety employment issues, including the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act and the Firefighters Procedural Bill of Rights Act. I regularly assist clients throughout the disciplinary process, from the initiation of an investigation through termination. I also represent public entities in labor and employment litigation. I regularly defend against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. I litigate in both state and federal court and have experience from pre-litigation through trial. I was selected to the Southern California Rising Stars list from 2019 through 2022. I was also honored as a Best Lawyers' Ones to Watch from 2021 through 2023 in the area of Labor and Employment Law - Management.
