Maurice Mandel

I am an aggressive civil litigation trial attorney with 45 years of experience in many types of cases. I believe being an attorney is a position of public trust, not a license to deceive. I have emphasized employment law during my career and have handled cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and salary violations, whistleblower protection, and business litigation. My representation has been for both the Plaintiff (person bringing the claim) and the Defendant (person or business accused of wrongdoing). I have worked with Elder Law and have handled cases of abuse and Conservatorship. I have also handled Eviction Defense, and pursued claims against landlords over Retaliatory Eviction and failures to maintain the premises in livable conditions. I have defended people wrongfully sued. I have brought and defended cases in both State and Federal courts; in Court and Jury trials. I have been rated by my peers as having the highest level of competence and utmost integrity at Martindale Hubble. I was a Professor of Law at Irvine University, School of Law and taught lower and upper division courses there. I served for over 10 years as a Professor of Paralegal Education at Coastline Community College and taught courses in Legal Research, Business Organizations, Federal Civil Practice and Procedure, and General Paralegalism. Before being an attorney, I worked in Retail, Public Education, Warehousing, Driving a truck, and I was a camp counselor. I have spent over 20 years teaching skiing and swimming to children. I bring all of this life experience to my jobs.
