Maura Tansley

Hi! I’m Autumn Tansley, a sophomore at Bentley University from Naugatuck, CT, currently on track to graduate in December 2027. I’m double majoring in Business Management and Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, and I’m also minoring in Accounting. I’m especially interested in how people and strategy work together to make organizations thrive.My interest in HR and leadership has grown through my role as Secretary of the Class of 2028 Cabinet, where I help plan events and advocate for student needs. I’ve built strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills by working closely with peers and campus partners.I serve as an FDS Peer Leader, where I mentor first-year students through their transition to college life. I’m also a Bentley Ambassador, giving campus tours to prospective students and families, and I work as a Student Organization Assistant with the Student Programs & Engagement office. I also currently serve as a Freshman Residence Advisor where I mentor a floor of 34 residents, and volunteer through the Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center. These experiences have not only enhanced my leadership skills, but also sparked my interest in the project management and training & development sectors of HR.After graduation, I plan to enter the workforce to gain hands-on experience before returning to pursue my MBA. I’m especially passionate about helping others grow, improving organizational efficiency, and creating meaningful workplace experiences.
