I am a Global Family Office & Private Wealth Partner at Pillsbury and divide my time among the firm’s London, Miami and New York offices. I advise internationally connected families, family offices, trustees and private investment platforms on the legal, tax, governance and investment issues that arise as global family capital interacts with the United States. I frequently serve as coordinating U.S. counsel for international families and family offices, helping clients navigate complex cross-border structures, investment activities and multigenerational planning objectives. In that role, I work closely with existing legal counsel and other trusted advisors around the world—including fiduciaries, investment professionals and accountants—to develop integrated solutions tailored to the unique needs of globally connected families and family offices. As family offices become increasingly sophisticated and investment-focused, many international families are using the United States not simply as an investment destination, but as a platform for preserving, deploying, governing and institutionalizing family capital.
