Matthew Schwartz

I am an attorney in New York and I practice in all areas of civil and criminal litigation with a concentration in legal malpractice. I began my career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's office. While at the District Attorney's office, I gained extensive trial experience in a variety of criminal matters. After leaving the D.A.'s office, I was associated with the law firm of Jones Hirsch Connors & Bull. At Jones, Hirsch, I established himself as a civil litigator in the areas of professional liability, premises liability, surety and subrogation litigation, and securities litigation. From 1996 to 2005, I worked at Siller Wilk LLP, where I had responsibility for matters covering the full range of civil litigation with an emphasis on attorney malpractice. I have trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. Since 1996, my practice has concentrated primarily on legal malpractice cases. I have represented plaintiffs and I have defended attorneys.
