Matthew Rossetti

I’m Matt Rossetti, founder of Sentient Law, a tech forward, business first firm with offices in Austin and Chicago. I began my legal career as a law clerk at 19, and since then I’ve built a practice centered on pragmatic legal strategy for startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators. I earned my J.D. with honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and co-founded PayPrior.com while in school. My journey includes: • Early, hands on experience with complex class actions and consumer rights matters • Pioneering adoption of dynamic equity structures, including as a Slicing Pie Lawyer, helping hundreds of founders craft fair, frictionless early ownership models • Recognition as a Young Entrepreneur Council member, Forbes Legal Council founding member, and multiple Super Lawyers Rising Star awards • Experience as an adjunct professor teaching Emerging Technologies, a provisional patent holder, and service as General Counsel to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat At Sentient Law, my practice extends beyond startups and corporate law. I also represent motorsports teams, drivers, and combat athletes, helping them navigate contracts, sponsorships, compliance, and the unique legal challenges of their industries. Outside of law, I am passionate about wildlife conservation, especially rhinos and elephants, and I am an avid fan of motorsports and boxing. These interests fuel my commitment to disciplined strategy, speed, and precision whether in the courtroom, the boardroom, or trackside.
