Matthew Lampe

Matthew Lampe, who co-leads Jones Day's global Labor & Employment Practice, is a nationally recognized employment litigator and counselor known for his achievements in complex class actions, government investigations, and mass arbitration defense. In 2025, he was named "Lawyer of the Year, Litigation — Labor & Employment (New York)" by Best Lawyers in America and is rated Band 1 (New York) by Chambers USA. He has prevailed in numerous discrimination, wage and hour (Fair Labor Standards Act), harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge matters at the trial and appellate levels. Matt seeks comprehensive solutions to clients' most complex litigation challenges. In addition to defending clients in court, he advises on strategies for protecting business priorities while reducing the risk of future claims.
