In short, I represent clients in bond, master, and merit hearings; prepare clients for, and represent them at, credible fear, waiver, adjustment, and affirmative asylum interviews; argue motions before the immigration court; draft pre-hearing briefs; prepare filings for the immigration court, Board of Immigration Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; prepare waivers for filing at U.S. consulates and USCIS offices; manage caseloads and deadlines; prepare expert witnesses for trial; counsel clients on all aspects of immigration law; and negotiate with government counsel and officers regarding relief. For fun and professional development, I am active in the San Diego Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). AILA is the professional organization for immigration attorneys and has chapters throughout the world. In San Diego, I am the Co-Chair of the Advocacy/ Congressional/ Media Committee, Secretary to the Executive Committee, and Co-Chair to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court) Committee. I have given presentations at local, state-wide, and national conferences, as well as given presentations at law schools and colleges on immigration law.
