Attorney Matthew C. Hines founded the company in October of 2004. This was the date that he passed the bar exam and has maintained the practice ever since. Since then, The Law Offices of Matthew C. Hines has been helping Atlanta residents defend their rights in civil and personal matters. WHAT IS YOUR TITLE AT THE FIRM? I am the Founder and practicing for the Law Offices of Matthew C. Hines. WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE THAT? I was in law school and was an undergrad at Clemson University. While in college and law school I worked for various attorneys and gained a fundamental understanding of the various areas of law. WHAT IS YOUR LAW SCHOOL EDUCATION? I went to Georgia State University and received my law degree as well as my masters in Business Administration. WHAT AREAS OF THE LAW ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? I’m passionate about personal injury law, litigation and other types of trial work, criminal defense and family law. I find that those are some of the most important areas of law where people need help. IS THAT WHAT YOU ENJOY ABOUT IT? Yes it is. Taking an individual who is in a very difficult situation and empowering them with the law and with a good legal defense presentation is something I enjoy the most. WHAT KIND OF CLIENTS DO YOU LOVE WORKING WITH THE MOST? There’s no one particular type of client that i like the most. Any type of client that is need of legal assistance where they have a genuine issue. I enjoy stepping in to help. I’m not so concerned with the area of help, but more with the person. WHICH CASE DID YOU FIND THE MOST REWARDING TO WORK ON? There was a case that involved the wrongful arrest of some individuals by a corrupt sheriff and his lieutenant and that case was very exciting because it was one where there was very clear governmental abuse of power and we were able to do something about it and it felt good.
