About Matan Koch
With over 20 years of experience in disability policy, law, and advocacy, I am passionate about advancing opportunities and fighting stigmas for people with disabilities in all aspects of community. As the Senior VP at RespectAbility, a nonprofit organization that promotes inclusion and innovation, I leveraged my extensive knowledge and leadership skills to help the organization grow threefold, leading multiple departments, and our strategic planning process. I also spearheaded critical special projects in entrepreneurship and benefits reform, while mentoring and supporting a diverse and talented team of staff and fellows. My career journey has taken me from a summer camp counselor to a litigator, from a Senate confirmed government official to a nonprofit leader, and to various stages, podcasts, and articles where I have shared the message and value of disability talent with tens of thousands of people. I have specific expertise in legal and compliance matters, public policy, faith-based inclusion strategies, diversity, equity, inclusion and access, philanthropy and nonprofit management, public speaking and training, leadership, and accommodation strategies. I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and empower any partner that seeks me out, whether they are self-advocates, government, nonprofit, or private sector entities.
