Mary Will

I focus my practice on labor and employment law. I regularly counsel clients on employment issues, including hiring and termination practices, employee discipline, reductions in force, employment policies and agreements, labor union issues, privacy, trends in the workplace and employee relations. I also provide management and employee training programs covering a range of employment topics. I frequently work with clients on employment issues that arise in the context of corporate transactions. I assist with due diligence in the employment area, counsel employers regarding the employment aspects of particular transactions, and draft agreements and policies related to employees and the employment matters that arise in the context of business transactions. I have litigated a variety of employment claims including claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, wage and hour disputes, and ERISA/benefits. I have represented employers before courts and before government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance and the National Labor Relations Board. I also litigate noncompetition and trade secret disputes and draft noncompetition and other agreements to protect employers' trade secrets, proprietary and confidential information and client relationships. I am also Deputy General Counsel at Faegre Drinker. In that capacity, I advise Faegre Drinker and its lawyers regarding conflicts of interest, ethics and other legal matters.
