About Mark Altemose
For 30 years, I have represented clients in personal injury litigation cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. My skill lies in carefully and compassionately handling serious injury and death cases involving automobile, trucking, and motorcycle negligence; medical malpractice; pharmaceutical malpractice; construction accidents; gas and chemical exposure and explosion accidents; product liability; dog bites; and slip and falls. I have acted as a lead counsel in many well-known Lehigh Valley catastrophic injury and death cases including the Allentown natural gas explosion, and the underground propane tank explosion in Bushkill Township. As a board certified trial lawyer, I have achieved many multi-million dollar results for my clients. Several of these outcomes exceed $10 million, including $22 million in settlements for individuals injured the defective DePuy hip implant, and a $95 million award following individual verdicts for eight individuals killed by serial killer nurse, Charles Cullen, at St. Luke’s Hospital. I have been selected by my peers or Judges as a Pennsylvania Superlawyer; Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Lawyer; Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Lawyer Judicial Edition; Top 100 Trial Lawyers in Pennsylvania and Best Lawyers in Pennsylvania. I am a frequent lecturer for multiple organizations and audiences where I discuss trial strategy and tactics. I also regularly teach continuing legal education courses on personal injury litigation to fellow attorneys, and I am often selected by Plaintiff and Defense attorneys as an independent mediator and arbitrator in complex personal injury cases. In 2012, I established the Altemose Family Foundation, which focuses its giving on helping underprivileged and seriously ill children.
