Cahill My path: I became a plaintiff’s attorney after a 20-year career as a senior defense trial attorney for the largest insurance companies. Then I had a profound realization. In 2008, I sat as a juror on a murder trial. It gave me a new perspective on our justice system. When it was over, I knew I needed to make a change - to fight for people who have been seriously injured and need my help. Being trained “behind enemy lines” has become my competitive advantage. I know how to beat my opponents at their own game. I know what my adversary is going to do before they do. I use this insight to win for our clients. I have always been driven to win: I swam and played competitive water polo at UC Berkeley. I have been named a Super Lawyer for the past 10 consecutive years, I am a San Francisco Trial Attorney of the Year recipient, Adjunct Faculty Member, and former President of the Alameda Contra Costa Trial Lawyers' Association.
