Over 35 years practice as an licensed attorney and mediator , Mari has been widely recognized by her peers in California and nationally as a pioneer in civil law and family law mediation. She has helped parties resolve acrimonious disputes with more compassion and less stress by avoiding costly, time-consuming court battles. She has guided civil mediations, helping companies and individuals amicably settle disputes with speed, efficiency and privacy. Her training programs empower her attendees to manage conflict and overcome diversity. Since having her identity stolen many years ago, Mari became an expert on issues of privacy and has led policy changes in California and nationwide, advocating and testifying in Congress and various legislatures for stronger consumer protections, clearer guidelines for companies and better enforcement by government. In addition to her legal practice and legal consulting practice on privacy, Mari is a lifelong educator who trains professionals in conflict management, negotiation, emotional intelligence, leadership skills and alternative dispute resolution. She has authored five books and hosted two radio shows, and now continues with her podcast "Conflict Healing" .
