As a cybersecurity professional and strategist, I leverage my teaching background, business acumen, and industry certifications to ensure compliance with standards like NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, and CSA Cloud Controls Matrix. I specialize in developing and implementing holistic information security strategies that enable and protect organizations. With extensive experience in AI risk assessments, policy development, and training, I collaborate closely with AI and data science teams to build robust AI guardrails. I assess risks associated with data used in machine learning models and oversee AI training programs for globally dispersed workforces. Passionate about inclusive cybersecurity, I co-founded Latinas in Cyber, a non-profit empowering Latinx women in the field. I have volunteered within my community in Austin and with LGBT Tech, Women in Cybersecurity, OWASP, and Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security, fostering security awareness and education.
