I also currently serve on the Board of Trustees of the National Recreation Foundation, The Seaver Institute, the Diocesan Investment Trust of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles; as a member of the Board of Directors of ARCS Foundation, Inc. (National) and as Vice President for Development of ARCS Foundation, Inc., Los Angeles Chapter; as a member of the University of Chicago Social Sciences Division Council. I recently stepped down as a member of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. I recently completed my term as National President of ARCS Foundation, Inc., which annually funds approximately 630 ARCS Scholars, who are U.S. citizens engaged in cutting-edge science, engineering and medical research at 50 select colleges and universities. Every dollar raised for scholar awards is granted to scholars without deduction for overhead. Since 1958, more than 11,000 ARCS Scholars have received $116 million in scholar awards raised by the efforts of 1,300 members across the nation. I have also completed my 18 years of service as a member of the Board of Trustees of Scripps College, where I was privileged to serve for many years as a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Audit and Educational Policy Committees, and as Chair of the Presidential Search Committee.
