About Luis Osuna

Luis O. Osuna is a Mexican-American born in Tijuana, Mexico. He immigrated to the U.S. with his family at the age of six and spent his formative years in San Diego before leaving to attend college. Mr. Osuna is proud to be a U.C. Berkeley and California Western School of Law graduate. Today he is a personal injury, workers compensation and medical malpractice attorney at Golper, Sullivan, Rivera & Osuna–a local boutique law firm. In addition, he is actively involved in the community through his capacity as a past-president of San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association (2015 - 2016) and as a former Board of Director for the Chicano Federation. He previously also sat on the development committee for MANA--a local non-profit that mentors young Latinas to ensure their future success. Most recently, he was nominated by San Diego Councilman David Alvarez to become a city commissioner on the city's Independent Rates and Oversight Commission. Subsequent to his nomination, he was appointed to the position by Mayor Kevin Faulconer. In 2016 Mr. Osuna was elected to the executive board of the San Diego County Democratic party as South Area Vice Chair. He is currently serving a two-year term in this role.
