About Lisa Ryan
My practice is focused on the litigation of wage and hour class action, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, public works/prevailing wage, and labor law issues. I advise businesses and public sector clients on a variety of personnel matters, including discrimination and accommodation issues, drug testing, state and federal family leave, workers’ compensation discrimination, and OSHA compliance. I provide AB 1825 training to California supervisors, and conduct internal investigations into complaints of workplace harassment and retaliation. My experience includes arguing appellate matters before the Third District Court of Appeal, successfully handling administrative appeals, and representing clients before the California Labor Commissioner, EEOC, DFEH, and WCAB. A part of my background that’s been particularly helpful for me as a labor and employment attorney is the time I spent as a policy consultant on labor and employment issues for the California State Legislature. It gives me somewhat unique insight into the law that I can bring to my clients.
