About Lisa Hernandez
I am an experienced attorney who fights disability discrimination in schools, workplaces, and everywhere else you deserve to be. I help my clients understand and navigate the different education laws and discrimination laws that apply to K-12 schools, colleges, universities, employers, and places of public accommodation. I advise parents in areas of special education, including IEP disputes, questions of least restrictive environment, high school transition plans, and educational placements such as resource rooms, in class support, and extra-curricular activities. I also help families craft medical plans and emergency healthcare plans for students with medical disabilities such as diabetes and epilepsy, with a focus on preparing for emergency drills and school safety. I represent clients who have suffered discrimination, retaliation, and harassment at work, with a focus on securing reasonable accommodations and protecting public employees' First Amendment rights.
