Lincoln Stone

In 2005, Lincoln Stone co-founded the immigration law firm now known as SGG Immigration LLP (SGG). Lincoln is recognized by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law. SGG has the distinction of housing more certified immigration law specialists than any other law firm. Following studies in law and a federal court clerkship with the Northern District of Indiana and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Lincoln started his career in immigration law in 1987 with the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. In the earliest of Lincoln’s twenty-four years of private practice, his experience included immigration law as well as business transactions and business litigation. Lincoln has extraordinary experience in the complex area of immigration law concerning investors and entrepreneurs in the EB5 investor visa category. Lincoln’s clients include more than 4,000 individual EB5 investors and entrepreneurs, as well as U.S. businesses and public agencies. His U.S. business clients have raised more than $5 billion for more than 200 different projects through the EB5 investor visa program. Lincoln is a pioneer of professional education of lawyers in the field of investor and entrepreneur immigration, demonstrated especially by leadership in activities of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). From 2007 to 2012, Lincoln created nine EB5 conferences nationwide, first as Program Chair for four ILW.com EB5 workshops and then as Conference Program Chair for five of AILA National’s EB5 Investor Visa Conferences. He is Editor-in-Chief of all four editions of the book Immigration Options for Investors and Entrepreneurs, published by AILA, and is Chief Editor for the Regional Center Business Journal, published by IIUSA. Lincoln was Chair of AILA’s EB5 Investor Visa Committee for five years, and he orchestrated crucial statutory revisions to the law on EB5 investor immigration.
