About Leigh Forstman

Leigh King Forstman is the Founding Member of King Forstman Law LLC in Birmingham, and was recently recognized as one of B-Metro’s Top Women Lawyers 2017. Ms. Forstman was previously selected for the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers in the field of Civil Trial Practice based on her AV Preeminent® Rating, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. She was also recognized among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers, The Best Lawyers in America© for Product Liability Litigation and Medical Malpractice Law - Plaintiffs (2018); America’s Top 100 Attorneys® (Alabama) Lifetime Achievement Award, America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators®, and 10 Best Attorneys for Alabama for Client Satisfaction from the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2007 Ms. Forstman was inducted as a Charter Fellow and is now a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a national trial lawyer honorary society recognizing effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and superior ethical reputation. Ms. Forstman lectures and publishes nationally and regionally. She obtained her B.A. in 1987 from Auburn University in Pre-Law and Russian and her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1990 where she was a member of the Bench and Bar Honor Society and Vice-Chairperson of the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board. She is admitted to practice law in Alabama and Tennessee, and handles a vast array of tort claims on behalf of individuals and small businesses. She was Founding Chair of the Women’s Caucus of the Alabama Association for Justice, served on the Board of the Alabama State Bar Women’s Section, and is the Immediate Past Chair of the Women Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association.   Per the Alabama State Bar: "No representation is made that the quality of legal services performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers."
