I do virtual arbitrations and mediations. I am a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. I am former Chair of Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of State Bar of Michigan (2017-2018). I received SBM ADR Section’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of significant contributions to field of dispute resolution. I received SBM ADR Section's George Bashara Award in recognition of exemplary service. I have also received SBM ADR Section's Hero of ADR Awards. I am First Tier ranked in Northern Michigan for Mediation by U.S. News "Best Lawyers"® Best Law Firms in 2022 and Second Tier ranked in Northern Michigan for Arbitration by U.S. News "Best Lawyers"® Best Law Firms in 2022. I was First Tier ranked in Northern Michigan for Arbitration by U.S. News "Best Lawyers"® Best Law Firms in 2019 and 2020; included in Best Lawyers of America 2018 and 2019 for arbitration, and 2020 to 2023 for arbitration and mediation; and on 2016 to 2022 Michigan Super Lawyers lists for alternative dispute resolution. My professional activities include former Chair, SBM ADR Section; former Chair of Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim Bar Association's ADR Committee; ICLE Family Law Certificate Program, cosponsored by State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section; and Editor, The Michigan Dispute Resolution Journal. I have presented for ICLE. I was member of SBM Representative Assembly (2010-2016). My public service includes being former Chair of Traverse City Human Rights Commission (2015-2016) and former member of Grand Traverse County Board of Canvassers (2007-2016). My admissions include Michigan, Ohio (inactive), and U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Military Appeals, U.S. Courts of Appeal for Fed Circuit and Sixth Circuit, and U.S. District Courts for E District of Kentucky, E and W Districts of Michigan, and N and S Districts of Ohio.
