Leah Ross

Leah is a former domestic violence prosecutor whose unique perspective enables her to help clients through the emotional process of divorce and custody disputes. With unmatched trial and litigation experience in family law matters, Leah not only advocates for her client’s best interests, she appreciates the collateral consequences that they and their families face as a result of their legal issues. Before starting Ross Law PLLC, Leah worked at two prominent boutique matrimonial and family law firms where she learned the intricacies of divorce litigation and honed her skills. Leah has extensive trial experience, having conducted hearings and trials on complex family law matters including custody, child support enforcement, equitable distribution, grandparents’ rights, and family offense petitions and orders of protection. Always working first to attempt to reach an amicable resolution, Leah has negotiated many notable settlements involving complex custody and financial issues. Prior to transitioning to family law, Leah was a senior trial attorney in the Domestic Violence Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. She secured dozens of Grand Jury indictments and prosecuted over 10 jury and bench trials to verdict. Leah’s trial experience includes acting as lead counsel on an attempted murder conviction and co-counsel on a kidnapping and violent assault conviction that received press attention. Leah prides herself on guiding clients through the challenges of divorce with a sensitive yet logical tone. She often reminds her clients that this extremely difficult time will one day allow for a new beginning.
