Laurie Perez

I focus my practice on labor & employment, financial services, and general commercial litigation matters. I regularly counsel clients on a wide range of legal issues relating to business practice and personnel management. I have extensive experience representing securities broker-dealers in connection with litigation matters, including handling disputes involving contract claims, unfair trade practices and unfair competition claims, raiding claims, breach of fiduciary duty and duty of loyalty claims, and enforcement of restrictive covenants. I have successfully litigated cases, both individually and on trial teams, involving ERISA claims, employment-related issues, and contract disputes in state and federal courts and in arbitration forums around the country. I received my J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and my B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. I am a member of the American, Illinois, Florida, and Chicago Bar Associations and previously served as Chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Commercial Litigation Committee. I am licensed to practice in Illinois and Florida.
