About Laurel Brauer
Laurel Brauer is a prominent divorce lawyer in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties. She is a Certified Family Law Specialist as designated by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization and currently sits on the Board of the Orange County Bar Association, Family Law Section, Los Angeles County Bar Family Section, and the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Certified Specialists. Laurel was the past Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Family Law Section and also was a recent board member of the State Bar of California’s Family Law Executive Committee - serving as the Education Chair for the Annual Meeting two years running. Additionally, Laurel is a board member on the Board of Visitors of the Pepperdine School of Law. And, in past years, Laurel was an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University School of Law - teaching the Advanced Family Law course during varying semesters. Laurel has been recognized in Los Angeles Magazine’s Southern California Super Lawyers since 2005 and Orange County’s version for the past several years. Laurel is a frequent chair, panelist speaker, author and editor in Family Law for legal education and public information programs, associations, and periodicals including the Beverly Hills Bar, the Los Angeles County Bar, the Orange County Bar and the Los Angeles Legal Secretaries Association, California State Bar, CEB, the Association for Certified Family Law Specialists, and various chapters of the American Inn of Court. Laurel was also featured on Kelly Lang’s television show, Women2Women in early 2000 speaking on Prenuptial Agreements. More exciting ¬and funny -for Laurel, however, was sitting in the Green Room with the late Phyllis Diller.
