Laura White

Trial attorney fighting the good fight for plaintiffs: Laura is a tireless advocate for her clients, in the courtroom and beyond. She founded White & Quinlan to focus exclusively on plaintiffs who have been discriminated against, marginalized, harassed, or injured. As a lifelong resident of the state, Laura understands that most Mainers would not bring a lawsuit without a good reason. When clients have suffered a harm protected by the law, they deserve compensation. Laura is an accomplished trial lawyer, but the real reward is getting to know her clients and fighting for a just result that improves their lives. Laura has achieved impressive verdicts and settlements throughout her career. She insists on staying involved in every stage of the litigation process, which has led to a strong record of success with claims involving auto accidents, medical malpractice, and defective products, among others. A 2006 cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law, Laura was an editor of the Maine Law Review, a law clerk, and an intern at the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office. Before attending law school, Laura was a social worker practicing home-based family counseling in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. She graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Maine in 2000 with a B.A. in psychology. Laura has served on the Board of Governors of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and as Treasurer of the Edward T. Gignoux Inn of Court. She is an active member of the Maine and National Employment Lawyers Association as well as the Maine Bar. Admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Maine, and the First Circuit, Laura handles cases all over Maine and other states as well. Laura enjoys living in Kennebunk with her husband and their two children. There is no case too big or too small to spark Laura’s interest and she’s always ready to chat.
