Kimberly Ahrens

Kimberly A. Ahrens (she/her/hers) is the founder of Ahrens Law, APC where she practices employment law and entertainment law. Troubled by inequality her whole life, Kimberly channels her passion for equality by fighting against discrimination and harassment in workplaces and educational institutions. Kimberly also uses her law license to create LGBTQ-affirming policies for companies. Beyond her work, Kimberly devotes time to board service and volunteer work that directly helps the LGBTQAI+ community. Currently, Kimberly serves as Board Co-chair for San Diego Pride, an organization that engages in charitable work, civil engagement, and community outreach year-round to further its mission to foster pride and respect for all LGBTQAI+ people. Kimberly is a former Lawyers Club Director (2019-2021) and former THLA Co-president (2014-2016). During these leadership roles she helped create volunteer projects that benefited people experiencing housing insecurity, educational programs that raised awareness of LGBTQAI+ issues, and legal clinics that gave resources to those in need. Kimberly attributes spending the first ten years of her life in the diverse port town of New Bedford, Massachusetts as an experience that imprinted inclusion and fairness as two of her core values.
