Kent Gaertner

Kent Gaertner has over 30 years experience in all aspects of bankruptcy law. He has represented numerous small and medium size businesses in the bankruptcy process as well as individual consumer debtors. He represents creditors as well as debtors. He has represented bankrutpcy trustees in administration of bankruptcy estates. In addition to representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, he has represented numerous companies and individuals in out of court workouts and in assignments for the benefit of creditors. He has also represented the assignees of such assignments. Kent is a Past President of the DuPage County Bar Association for 2009 - 2010. He was elected to 3rd Vice President of the DCBA in April of 2006 and moved up each year after that and into the presidency of the DCBA in June of 2009. The DuPage County Bar Association has almost 2500 members making it one of the largest county bar associations in the country. After leaving the Presidency of the DCBA, Kent became the President of the DuPage County Bar Foundation. He was also appointed Chairman of the DuPage County Bar Association Judiciary Committee. He is a member of the ISBA Section Council on Commercial Banking, Collections and Bankruptcy (past chair of Bankruptcy subcommittee). He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly. Kent has also served as a member of the Hearing Board of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. In April of 2015, Kent was elected to the Illinois State Bar Association Board of Governors from the 18th Judicial Circuit and currently is serving a second three year term in that position.
