Throughout my entire 18-year career, I have amassed an increasing breadth and depth of corporate law experience, both in private practice and in-house. Each position has presented unique challenges and opportunities to learn, grow, and most importantly achieve my clients’ goals. There, I practiced IP, M&A, and corporate finance transactions. Due to my strong communication skills, I interacted with some of the firm’s largest clients. Within two years of graduation, I joined a fast-growing, industry leading software company as General Counsel, where I created its first legal department. Recognized for my unique abilities and contributions, I began reporting directly to the CEO and interfacing with executive management. I then branched out on my own for the next five years, founding and growing a successful law firm serving numerous corporate clients, including technology companies (software and services), a direct response media company, an apparel company, an action sports company, and a manufacturing company. Next, I moved back in-house with a major financial services company, advising on and negotiating complex, high-end investment management transactions. Additionally, I managed the insurance program, litigation, employment and regulatory matters. From there, a former client reached out to me to join a rapidly expanding business and start up a legal department. I have additionally established the HR and Inventory Analysis departments, as well as collaborating to build a music division. My broad legal responsibilities include drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and advising on and overseeing a range of legal issues.
