Kelly Scott's areas of practice include representation of employers in all types of employment and litigation matters, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, retaliation, class actions, wage and hour, intellectual property and advice and/or training for compliance with various state and federal employment laws. Mr. Scott is an experienced investigator in various types of employment law related complaints and problems, including, but not limited to, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, workplace violence, wage and hour issues, overtime exemptions, employee theft and various allegations of employee misconduct. He is well-versed in pre-employment investigations and background checks, as well as in hiring, terminating and improving the performance of employees. Mr. Scott serves as the editor of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup's Employment Law Reporter, one of the longest running employment law newsletters on the West Coast. Mr. Scott has also been quoted by a wide range of news organizations, including the Associated Press, CNN Entertainment, E! News, the Human Resource Executive, Law360, Best Practices in HR, the HR Spotlight, and the ALA News.
