Keith Vona

Prior to starting my legal career in 2005, I served as a United States Marine, and worked as a City of Buffalo police officer for ten years. Before starting my own firm, I worked for Lipsitz & Ponterio for 14 years. I concentrate my practice in Personal Injury, and have extensive experience in the areas of Asbestos Litigation (mesothelioma and lung cancer), Construction Accidents, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Products Liability and Injuries on Property. In September 2011, I was an instrumental member of a trial team that obtained the first jury verdict in Western New York on behalf of a lead poisoned child. During my career, I have been trial counsel in asbestos and lead poisoning cases involving plaintiffs’ verdicts in excess of $10,000,000: * March 2012 - I was a member of the trial team that obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $325,000 on behalf of a former Durez factory worker suffering from lung cancer, with a substantial smoking history. * December 2011 - I was a member of the trial team that obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $2,000,000 on behalf of a former Durez factory worker suffering from mesothelioma. * July 2011 - I was a member of the trial team that obtained a jury verdict in the sum of $2,500,000 against Ford Motor Company on behalf of a former chemist suffering from mesothelioma. * November 2010 - I was a member of the trial team that obtained a $1,000,000 verdict against John Crane, Inc., on behalf of a former tugboat engineer who died as a result from mesothelioma. * July 2008 - Mr. Vona and Jerome Block obtained a $5,000,000 verdict for a former United States Navy boilerman.
