Keenan Hawkins

Keenan Hawkins is the founder and managing partner of High West Law, which is a rapidly growing law firm in Northern California and Nevada. Keenan has been practicing law continuously in California since 2013, and in Nevada since 2014. Keenan is what is commonly known as a commercial or transactional attorney, and he currently manages High West Law’s transactional department in addition to his role as the Managing Partner of the firm. His practice focuses on structuring deals, negotiating and drafting contracts for those deals, and advising clients regarding real estate, construction, business, and corporate matters. He is comfortable and experienced in complex and high-stakes negotiations, transactions, and dispute resolution situations. Keenan regularly represents business owners, investors, lenders, landlords, construction companies, and parties in business, real estate, and commercial transactions. Keenan received his B.A. from Union College 2007 where he was on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance. He obtained his J.D. magna cum laude from Vermont Law School in 2013 and was a journal editor and moot court member. He is a Board member of the Truckee Trails Foundation and was on the Board of the Tahoe-Truckee Bar Association from 2019-2023 and President in 2022. On top of his legal skills, Keenan has an extensive track record of building, growing, and leading teams, increasing morale, collaboration, quality, and team revenues. Outside of work, Keenan is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys backcountry skiing and mountain biking. He lives in Truckee, CA.
