After dedicating 10 years to the practice of family law, I’m inspired by the satisfaction I get in helping people and in making a difference in such a sensitive and vulnerable time in their lives. In family law, it’s important to have the ability to get to know and understand the client’s goals. I collaborate with my clients, working in partnership with them to reach the best possible outcome. As a Certified Family Law Specialist and accredited Minor’s Counsel, I bring extensive experience to cases involving complex property division and child custody issues, especially pertaining to high-asset clients. I have particular expertise in the pro-active transactional and planning aspects of family law, including crafting prenuptial, postnuptial, and transmutation [transfers of marital property] agreements that can provide peace of mind to a client. When it comes to dissolution of marriage, I strive to bring my broad knowledge of family law to bear in helping couples come to a settlement. I work to bring the parties together in order to facilitate a healthy relationship for soon-to-be ex-spouses, allowing them be good co-parents and save money by not depleting their resources in a protracted divorce. In addition, as a former a behavioral technician for children with autism, I have a deeper understanding of legal issues involving special needs children. I like to use my spare time to provide legal services to those who are less fortunate. I represent pro bono clients through the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, where I am a member of the board of directors.
