I am a business attorney with experience counseling clients on a wide variety of business matters, including intellectual property issues. My goal is to work closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of their business needs and goals so that I can help to create practical, effective, flexible legal structures to develop and protect their business and personal assets. Entrepreneurs & Businesses I help entrepreneurs structure and launch their companies so that they can succeed in turning their ideas into thriving businesses. I work with clients to evaluate and determine the best legal structure for their current needs and plan for the entire lifecycle of their business. As my clients grow, I provide guidance on financing issues, working with banks and other lenders, bringing in new partners, and attracting private investors. In addition, I provide strategic advice on employment issues and independent contractor relationships. At all times, I make sure that clients are aware of applicable law and potential risks that are critical to business success. Intellectual Property I advise clients on the protection and use of intellectual property to meet the needs of their unique business strategy. By educating clients on IP issues, my goal is to make clients aware of and enable them to plan for challenges before they arise. Nonprofits I also assist nonprofits with their specific needs and concerns. I advise nonprofit boards and executives how best to achieve charitable goals while complying with IRS guidelines.
