Criminal law professional with a combined 20 years of experience as both a prosecutor and defender in high-stakes legal environments committed to justice for underserved communities. Certified Criminal Law Specialist since 2017. Completed 28 jury trials to verdict, including two cases carrying life exposure, with outstanding results on behalf of clients. Completed hundreds of juvenile bench trials and contested disposition hearings. Created Unaccompanied Children's Assistance Program (UCAP), a pre-and-post-filing program serving system-involved youth who are victims of human trafficking and exploitation. Recognized expert in juvenile law, contributed to juvenile justice reform and served on the San Francisco's Close Juvenile Hall Working Group. Passionate about leveling the playing field, honored with the SF Bar Association Justice & Diversity Center’s Crystal Award for Education in 2023 for coaching mock trial to high school students in the Bayview District for over 10 years. Hosted Know Your Rights radio show and served as criminal law expert for Sing Tao Chinese Radio, the Bay Area's primary radio station serving the Chinese community with an average listenership of 40,000.
