Karl Block

Karl is an experienced corporate and corporate restructuring attorney with a national practice, but he calls Los Angeles his home. He is currently a partner at Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, where he provides strategic legal counsel to operating companies, private equity sponsors, venture capitalists, boards of directors, and senior leadership, among others. With more than two decades of experience, Karl is known for solving complex problems that often go beyond the reach of internal legal or business teams. He collaborates closely with in-house counsel, executives, investors, and boards on high-stakes matters involving acquisitions, conflict resolution, business strategy, and structural challenges to growth. His transactional practice spans mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, joint ventures, financings, and both secondary market and distressed debt transactions. Karl is also a trusted advisor on fiduciary duties and corporate governance. Beyond his legal practice, Karl is committed to community service. He serves on several nonprofit boards and actively supports the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, focusing on causes related to hunger relief, education, and mentorship. Karl earned his B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University and his J.D. from the USC Gould School of Law.
