LinkedIn After two decades as a litigation partner in two global firms, I founded Erickson Levine Law in 2015 to help parties find creative solutions to even the most complex and highly charged disputes. Many of my cases in today’s world are negotiated remotely/online. My background has proven invaluable to the collaborative process. As a former trial lawyer, I handled class action and single plaintiff disputes, ranging from nationwide product defect and construction to disability discrimination and sexual harassment. I worked with individuals of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds—from criminal courtrooms in Compton to Fortune 50 boardrooms—and acquired a unique ability to understand what motivates people and to translate this into a language that can be heard by both parties, enabling them to lean into their own solutions. Mediating complex disputes in the business sector requires tenacity, creativity, and deep knowledge of the law. With 25+ years of trial experience I am fluent in the dynamics of conflict, and quickly grasp every nuance of a dispute. I am able to keep both sides communicating until a solution is reached — often in unexpected ways. Mediation, unlike litigation, is not a zero sum game — one's gain does not have to be the other’s loss. In a well facilitated mediation, parties listen to divergent perspectives, identify priorities, and structure equitable resolutions. The parties remain in control of the outcome — not subject to the arbitrariness of litigation. I love what I do, and also volunteer my time as a mediator for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the United States District Court, Northern District of California.
